New System in the VBL Club Championship

Germans best professional e-Football championship, the VBL Club Championship, is ready to start again. On November 10, the new Saison is about to start with a new game modus.

Ready for the 3rd VBL Season

In the 3rd season, 26 clubs are about to chase the VBL Club Championship trophy. But not all teams are going to face each other in a direct game. At the start of the new season, the league is going to split into two halves. The two different groups are divided into regions. One is the Nord-West, the other the South East Group. In the north-west, the following teams are going to start: VfL Bochum 1848, Eintracht Braunschweig, SV Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV, Hannover 96, Holstein Kiel, 1. FC Köln, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, SC Paderborn 07, FC St. Pauli, FC Schalke 04 und VfL Wolfsburg. In the south-east the teams from FC Augsburg, Hertha BSC, SV Darmstadt 98, Eintracht Frankfurt, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, 1. FC Heidenheim 1846, TSG Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig, 1. FSV Mainz 05, 1. FC Nürnberg, SSV Jahn Regensburg, SV Sandhausen und FC Würzburger Kickers are going to fight for the win.

Final Tournament to announce the Champions

Due to this new modus, the structure of the VBL is going to change. The champion is not the team anymore that will collect the most teams in the regular season. Instead, the teams first must qualify for the final round through there regional group. The first two teams of each group get a safe place in the final tournament. The teams from place 3 to 6 get a second chance to qualify through a separate Tournament.
