FIFA Boss praises Virtual Bundesliga

Christian Volk, the Director of eFootball & Gaming of the world soccer association FIFA, praises the Virtual Bundesliga in an interview with the newspaper "Sponsors". "The VBL is doing a great job in Germany. Soon all 36 DFL clubs will play in the Virtual Bundesliga". So also Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich. Who has not yet participated in the competition?

Volk calls the VBL a benchmark. "The DFL is doing the best job internationally." But he also praised the ePremier League and the eMLS.

Volk wants to expand the commitment of the "Fédération Internationale de Football Association" in eFootball, as he said in an interview with the association's website:

“For us, the gaming side is casual, and the eSports side is focused around our competitions where gamers play to win. We are very much focused on the competitive side of gaming. As the preeminent international football brand, and with 15 years of experience running eFootball tournaments, we are doubling down on those tournaments with the football industry behind us.”
